The first historic international championship was held the following year, after the founding of the FMJD, Rosenberg from the Netherlands became its winner, after which he confirmed his title three more times. In the mid-fifties of the last century, when our athletes also entered the world arena, a new struggle began to get the main title in the world in checkers. This struggle was between our country and the Netherlands, which subsequently received the names of checkers powers.

In Holland, for a long time, they are interested in the sport of checkers with great interest, as it is considered to be the central developing grouping. About 400 check clubs of professional direction were recorded in the country. As a result, the highest level of athletes was ensured; at the present moment, when meeting with the Russians, the Dutch compensate for the absence of the masters of the highest class.

In the period from the end of the 50th to the mid-seventies, I.Kuperman, our compatriot, became the world champion seven times. Three times our compatriot A. Andreiko was recognized as the best three times. After that, the pedestal was taken by H. Virsma, a master from Holland, who became the world champion six times. Four times world champion was A. Gantvarg from the USSR. But most of all at the international level competitions A.Chizhov distinguished himself, who took nine titles from 1988 to 2000. In addition to them, there were many famous Shashishists who took the high title one or two times, but almost all of them were either from the Netherlands or from the Soviet Union.

The Russian Drafts Federation was presented by A. Georgiyeva, who twice from 2002 to 2003 achieved the highest success and now he has every chance to increase his victories. The highest title is determined by a round-robin tournament, after that you need to defend your rank, having fought in a match with the winner of the next competition or tournament of applicants.

Since the early seventies of the last century, primacy was introduced among juniors, Mishansky became the first winner in this championship, and also tournaments among women were held. Among them are known Z. Sadovskaya (Golubeva), she was nominated by the Belarusian Drafts Federation, after she played for Latvia, in total she has eleven victories at the world championships. Five victories each have Mikhailovskaya, Altshul, three victories with Levina.

The first champion in this competition was Kandaurov in 1985, most of all the titles of the winner in this championship are Schwartzman, who became such five times. There are also world-class Russian drafts championships since the 1990s, and Amrilloev was the first to win such a championship.

The International Association of Russian drafts (MARSH) operates in our country, which holds its championships, the first winner of the MARSH was among men Korolev, and among women - Bushueva. The holding of such competitions caused dissatisfaction from the FMJD, and as a result, the Russian Drafts Federation was excluded from it. In addition to the above sections, there is a section-64 (Circassian) in the IDFM.

FMJD has its headquarters in Holland, which includes fifty countries from all continents of the planet. The Federation is a member of the GAISF and is working to ensure that the checkers include in the list of Olympic sports.
