Bluesound Pulse Soundbar Gets New Lower Price

The popularity of soundbars continues to grow and competition is fierce. Today you can expect to get a genuine high-fidelity experience out of a premium soundbar. Now, one of the best sounding soundbars, Bluesound’s Pulse Soundbar, is available at a new lower MSRP of $799 (black finish) and $899 (white finish).

One cool thing about the Pulse Soundbar is that it is designed to deliver high-fidelity audio with punchy bass all on its own—the wireless Pulse Sub ($599) is optional. I recently reviewed the Bluesound Pulse Soundbar and found it to be a very strong performer even accounting for its previous $999 MSRP (black finish) and at the reduced price its value proposition increases significantly.

Bluesound’s Pulse Soundbar features two channels and uses a 3-way speaker design. Each channel consists of a 0.75″ soft-dome tweeter, a 2″ midrange, and two 4″ woofers. That driver complement is roughly equivalent to a three-way speaker equipped with a six-inch woofer, by the way.

A key differentiating feature of the Pulse Soundbar is that it runs Bluesound’s BluOS, which affords it multi-room high-resolution audio streaming capabilities and lets users optionally add a Pulse Sub (or two). Plus, if you also add a pair of Pulse Flex wireless speakers ($299/each), it is even capable of delivering true wireless surround-sound.

The Bluesound Pulse Soundbar decodes Dolby Digital. Aside from that, the system supports a wide variety of audio formats: MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG, WMA-L, ALAC, OPUS, FLAC, MQA, WAV, and AIFF. Furthermore, BluOS supports many cloud music services including Amazon Music, WiMP, Slacker Radio, Qobuz, HighResAudio, JUKE, Deezer, Murfie, HDTracks, Spotify, Tidal, Napster and KKBox. It also supports Internet Radio from TuneIn Radio, iHeartRadio, Calm Radio and Radio Paradise.

The Pulse Soundbar has a vertical form factory that is wall mount friendly, but Bluesound also sells the TS100 TV stand ($299) that’s designed for use with the Pulse Soundbar.

David Cain, Bluesound’s global VP of sales and commerce noted that “The soundbar category continues to be strong performer industry-wide. By positioning the Bluesound PULSE SOUNDBAR at an even more affordable price point worldwide, it becomes a great entry point for consumers who want to enjoy high resolution sound for their high definition TVs.”

The long story short here is that when a premium wall-mounted TV plus soundbar solution is the right choice for your AV needs, the Pulse Soundbar offers a compelling value proposition at its new MSRP of $799. The new pricing is effective immediately.
